In addition, even some official content isn't implemented properly on DnD Beyond (like the ability to swap the Divine Soul sorcerer's bonus spell or the subclass spells of the Tasha sorcerers) and the dice roller can't do more than the most basic rolls, there is no way to add any modifier to a roll made from the character sheet and there is no way to tick on boxes for additional dice like the d4 added by bless or additional damage dice from hex, holy weapon, or any magic weapon. On a Roll20 sheet for example (to be honest, I really like how Roll20 kept the look of a classic paper character sheet) I just add a new feature to the features and traits box of the sheet or add a new attack to the respective section or add a new spell to the spell sheet. Even if it is just minor boons or adjustments it requires creating a homebrew feat or similar that then can be added to the sheet. Issues I have with DnD Beyond include how unnecessarily complicated they've made it to add custom options to character sheets. I usually prefer other sites, even though these operate are in a legally grey area. To just browse through character options, spells, magic items. I am fine using it for my character in a west-marches game to keep an up-to-date sheet everyone can see, but I am only using it because I am part of a content-sharing campaign and thus don't have to buy the books myself.
